Meet P.K.M. Swamy, the Chief Executive Officer of TB Alert India
Namasthe,
I am pleased to introduce myself as the Chief Executive Officer of TB Alert India.
I have worked from grass roots to national level as a participatory development professional and an ardent institutional builder, committed to serving the NGO sector. I have worked in advocacy and policy at the highest levels, focusing on public health, for over three decades. In 1985 I was awarded a national prize in Rural Development.
My dream for TB Alert India is to work with organisations across India for the prevention and cure of TB. This will be achieved by supporting people affected by TB through the development of appropriate policies, quality standards, advocacy, training, and by the promotion of best practice.
I visualise TB Alert India as a committed, transparent, accountable, inclusive and sustainable organisation that respects all its partners and stakeholders, whose participation is actively sought in democratic decision-making and organisational learning. We promote quality and equity in TB care, with the highest ethical standards.
I send personal greetings to all supporters of TB Alert for the help they have given over many years to make TB Alert India one of the most effective organisations fighting the disease in India.
TB Alert India stands for:
- T = Team work and Transparency
- B= Brotherhood and a Brand for TB
- A= Advocacy and Action
- I= Influence and Inspiration
Yours,
P.K.M. SWAMY
