Have some fun and raise money for TB Alert!

Here are some of our ideas – I’m sure you can think of more!

Invite your friends to Dinner ...

... and levy a charge on them. Perhaps hold a raffle or auction during the evening. Have a "dress theme". Maybe take it in turns on a monthly basis and build up your "TB Alert Charity Fund".

Run a Race Night

You need space to accommodate a minimum of 40 people, (a Church Hall?) and a video - the rest of the paraphernalia can be hired from Beneficial Arts, telephone 0870 735 3277 or www.beneficialarts.co.uk Beneficial Arts can also arrange Murder Mystery events and other fun ways to raise money.

Organise a Boot Sale, Cake Sale, Jumble Sale, a Bazaar or Fete or a Dance or Karaoke Night

Run a Quiz...

... at your local pub or club. Get the Publican or local shops to donate prizes.

Have a competition at a sports or social club

Are you a member of a Sports or Social Club? Rather than trying to think of something you could organise - why not ask the experts? For example, who better to put on a Golf Tournament than your local Golf Club? The same goes for your Tennis Club, Social Club, local Pub and their Darts, Snooker or Quiz Team. If you have a Club near you - or perhaps belong to one, ask them to organise a competition/tournament or to adapt one they are planning to include a fundraising element. Most participants will pay an additional amount on their entry fee if it is going to charity, and local businesses (or contacts of the Club) may donate prizes. An optional Lunch/Dinner for them and their partner at the end will make a fitting (and lucrative) finale.

Put on a picnic or barbecue...

...and charge people to come along.

Organise a charity Talent/Cabaret Night in a local pub

Ask around and you may find you have lots of friends who have always wanted to be on stage! Ask for a £2 entry fee to the back room of a friendly pub (and if the acts are too bad you could get people to pay to send them off!)
