How does it work?
UshopUgive.com provides access to a wide range of online retailers. For each purchase you make from these sites TB Alert receives the commission. Shopping via UshopUgive.com doesn't cost you anything extra, the retailers foot the bill. To start shopping now – just click here…www.ushopugive.com
Why was UshopUgive.com set up?
UshopUgive.com want to harness the power of e-commerce in order to maximise fundraising and support levels for good causes.
The retailers pay sales commission on every purchase made when shoppers 'click through' UshopUgive.com to do their online shopping. If you say you want to support TB Alert UshopUgive.com will pass some of that commission to us. Initially we will receive 50% of the sales commission and as purchases via the website grow UshopUgive.com will progressively increase our share, building ultimately to 90%. Simply select TB Alert as the charity you want to support prior to being linked directly to the retailer website of your choice.
The average sales commission passed to UshopUgive.com is over 5%, with some retailers paying considerably more. Many of the retailers will increase the % sales commission they pay as their sales from UshopUgive.com increase.
TB Alert is excited to be participating in this new fundraising opportunity. The goal of the UshopUgive.com team is to raise as much money as possible for UK based charities like TB Alert. As online shopping continues to grow rapidly UshopUgive.com could become a major new source of income for charities.
What can I use UshopUgive.com to buy?
The product categories currently available are appliances, books, clothing & accessories, computers & software, department stores, drinks, gifts & flowers, grocery, health & beauty, home & garden, music & video, services & finance, sports & leisure, toys & games and travel & tickets. The participating retailers include Amazon, WH Smith, Comet, Waitrose and Lastminute.com. UshopUgive.com will be investing in advertising, telling people how they can raise funds for their favourite charity when they shop online and hopefully more online retailers will join the scheme over the next few months.
Raise money with UshopUgive.com from your work or home office
If you work in an office, you may find that your stationery needs can be bought just as cheaply (if not cheaper) from UshopUgive.com. Please ask the person who buys your office supplies if they will check out the prices from retailers such as Dell computers, the Cartridge shop and Euroffice. Often there are deals available through the site that would not only save your company money but would result in large payments to TB Alert as a result of doing your purchasing through the site. The staff at UshopUgive are happy to work with your purchasing department and do the donkey work for them in terms of finding out if lower prices than they are currently getting can be achieved through the site. Simply call 0845 223 5293 or email fundraising@tbalert.org and we will put UshopUgive in touch with the appropriate person in your company. Don’t worry about the fact that the orders are placed online -- most of the retailers dealing with the business aspect of retail (stationery, computer supplies etc.) are prepared to set up accounts and invoice your company for payment as with any normal supplier. |
