Right now, there is an important opportunity to put drug-resistant TB higher on the political agenda of the EU. Please write to your MEP today, to ask them to sign the European Parliament Written Declaration on Drug-Resistant TB. To ensure stronger legislation on TB in the Europe region, 377 MEPs must sign their support for the declaration by the deadline of Wednesday 12th June.
The Written Declaration: “raises awareness on the cost and threat of DR-TB to the European region, and contains two recommendations calling on the European Commission and Council to financially and politically back the Global Fund 2013 replenishment and the WHO Europe’s Roadmap on drug-resistant tuberculosis.”
